Structure/Aims of Aquaskills Swimming Lessons

Here at Aqua Skills we have a variety of Lesson choices ranging from Non-swimmer to Advance. Dont worry if your unsure which class you or your child fit into, our teachers are experts in making sure each student will get the most out of the lesson and can change the class depending on ability. Our teachers are in the water for all Non-Swimmer and/or Beginner Classes!

PRICING SPRING 2017

Croydon High School

Child Group 30 mins = £8.80 per lesson
Child Group 45 mins = £11.00 per lesson (Elite on Tuesdays)
Child 1-2-1 30 mins = £27.50 per lesson
Child 2-2-1 30 mins = £20.00 per child per lesson

Adult Group 45 mins = £11.00 per lesson
Adult 1-2-1 30 mins = £32.00 per lesson
Adult 2-2-1 30 mins = £23.00 per adult per lesson

Aquaskills Swimming lessons encompass the current ASA Learn to Swim Programme. To help you chose the correct class, the aims & entry/exit criteria for each of our classes, are shown below. Please also check out our lesson Terms & Conditions

Beginners 1

For children 4 years upwards who cannot swim unaided but have previous in-water experience and are confident. Aims of class to develop basic movement skills working towards paddling or swimming up to 5m on front and back unaided. (Stages 1 & 2)

Beginner 2

Able to Paddle or Swim a few strokes up to 5m on front and back. Aims of the class to develop good F/C and B/C over 10m. Introduction to Breaststroke and Butterfly kicks up to 10m (Stages 3)

Intermediate 1

Able to swim good F/C & B/C over 10m and 10m BR & Fly kicks. Aims of the class to continue developing technique and swim 10m full stroke on all 4 strokes. (Stage 4)

Intermediate 2

Able to swim 10m Good stroke on all 4 strokes. Aims of the class to continue developing technique and stamina towards swimming 10m to 25m on all 4 strokes. (Stage 5)

Advanced 1

Able to swim 25m all 4 strokes with correct breathing patterns. Aims of class to continue developing technique and stamina on all 4 strokes towards achieving 100m swim. (Stage 6)

Advanced 2

Able to swim 100m well on one stroke and 50m fly and 100m on remaining 2 strokes. Aims of the class to work towards a 400m set within a specified time and competitive turns. (Stage 7)

Elite 1

Able to swim 400m very well on one stroke, 100m fly and 200m on the other 2 strokes. Aims of the class to continue developing stamina and work towards a 800m set, 100m I/M and starts. (Stage 8)

Elite 2

Able to swim 800m very well on one stroke, 200m fly and 40m on the other 2 strokes. Aims of the class to work towards a 1600m set in a specified time and excellence in all 4 strokes. (Stage 9 & 10)
